we can cover it! Liz Kellog, Blackwater’s Owner/Operator is a
third generation seamstress. She began sewing professionally
in the automobile industry in 1983. As her interest in commercial
sewing grew and her skills developed, she wanted something
more challenging. She moved on to designing and building commercial
and residential awnings and began doing upholstery
and canvas projects for her friends. She found a boat canvas
maker that was willing to help her expand her skills. Within a
few months she had advanced to making biminis, dodgers, and
enclosures and rapidly moved into canvas design. Her employer
and mentor encouraged her to open her own canvas shop. In
197 Liz opened Black Water Canvas. She uses Sunbrella and
Stamoid fabrics exclusively for your canvas needs. For enclosure
projects, Liz uses Strataglass, Sea-Flex, Crytal Clear and
tinted vinyl in a variety of thicknesses. If you don’t have your
own design ideas, Liz Kellog has the experience to design produce
something to suit your needs.
